Questions
What does Handlr cost?
Nothing. Handlr is free for dog owners. Trainers and kennels pay for Kennelworks, the software behind it.
Do I need a trainer to use it?
No. Create a free account, add your dogs and keep a training log and your own grades. When you start with a trainer who uses Kennelworks, connect your dogs and everything carries on in the same place.
My trainer uses Kennelworks. How do I join?
Accept the email invite they send, scan their QR code or open their join link. You choose which of your dogs to share.
What are Kennelworks badges?
Digital badges for your dog at Foundations, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite. Each one needs every core skill at a set grade (5, 7, 9 or 10 out of 10), and a trainer awards it when their grades show your dog meets it. Badges show on your Handlr profile and stay with your dog, even if it changes hands.
What is the Kennelworks Standard?

How do I find out where my dog is at?
Book a grading session or consultation with a trainer who uses Kennelworks. They grade your dog’s core skills on the standard and the grades show in Handlr, with what to work on next.
Can I buy a trained dog on Handlr?
Yes. Browse dogs for sale from trainers and kennels on Kennelworks, see their grades, badges and pedigree, and message the seller. When you buy, the dog moves into your account with its training history.
What happens if my dog goes missing?
Raise a lost-dog alert from your dog’s page. Owners who watch the area get a notification with your dog’s photo and where it was last seen, and any sightings they send come straight to you. Mark it found when your dog is home.
Who can see my dog’s information?
Only the businesses you share a dog with, and you can stop sharing at any time. Notes a trainer marks private stay with the trainer.
Why does it look like my trainer’s brand?
Trainers can put their own logo and brand on Handlr, so you’ll see it while you’re looking at their work.
Is there an app to download?
Apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon. Until then Handlr runs in your phone’s browser: add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Export all of your data from your profile, or delete your account.
