Kennelworks terms of service
Last updated
Kennelworks is a trading name of Kennelworks Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16889272, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
These terms are an agreement between Kennelworks (“we”), the company named above, and the business that creates a Kennelworks account (“you”). By starting a trial or a subscription you accept them on behalf of your business, and confirm you’re authorised to do so. Your clients and other people who use Handlr agree to our separate Handlr terms.
The service
Kennelworks is software for running a dog training, kennel or breeding business. It includes the trainer app at kennelworks.app and Handlr, the free app your clients and buyers use. We may improve or change features over time; we won’t remove a core feature you pay for without reasonable notice.
Your account
- You’re responsible for the people you invite as staff and for keeping sign-in details secure.
- A seat is a staff member who signs in. Clients, owners and buyers using Handlr don’t use seats.
- You must give accurate business details and keep them up to date.
- You and your staff must be 18 or over.
Trials, plans and payment
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial. You add a card to start it, and we charge for your chosen plan when it ends unless you cancel first.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page; UK prices include VAT.
- Upgrades take effect straight away. To move to a smaller plan, reduce your active team to fit it first.
- If a trial ends without a plan, or a payment fails and isn’t fixed, your account becomes read-only. We don’t delete your data because of a lapsed payment.
- Annual subscriptions aren’t refunded part-way through a term unless the law requires it.
Your data
Your business records belong to you, and the content Handlr users create belongs to them. We process your business records only to provide the service, as set out in our data processing agreement and privacy policy. You’re responsible for having a lawful basis for the client data you add and for telling your clients how you use it.
Our staff can access your account and its content when needed for support, debugging, safety and legal reasons, as described in the privacy policy.
You can export your data at any time. After you close your account you have 30 days to export it, after which we delete it as set out in the DPA.
Payments you take
If you connect Stripe to take card payments from clients, those payments are between you, your client and Stripe under Stripe’s terms. You’re responsible for your prices, invoices, refunds and tax.
We charge a platform fee on each card payment taken through Kennelworks, at the rate for your plan shown on our pricing page. Stripe deducts it along with its own fees before the payout reaches you. Refunding a payment doesn’t refund the platform fee.
Selling dogs
Listings of trained dogs are free, and you choose whether to show the price. You may not list puppies for sale. You’re responsible for complying with the law on selling dogs, including licensing, and for the accuracy of your listings.
Acceptable use
You must follow our acceptable use policy. We may suspend an account that breaks it or puts the service or other customers at risk.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Kennelworks available at all times and to fix problems quickly, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service. Enterprise customers may agree a separate service level.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses or lost profits.
Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time from your account; the subscription runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for. We may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or straight away if you materially break these terms.
Changes
We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of material changes to these terms by email or in the app.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
