Handlr terms of use

These terms are an agreement between Kennelworks (“we”), the company named above, and you, the person using Handlr. By creating a Handlr account you accept them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Handlr.

What Handlr is

Handlr is a free app for dog owners. It holds your dogs’ profiles and training progress, homework from your trainer, bookings and stays, messages, invoices and paperwork, a health wallet, a private album, lost-dog alerts, dog-friendly places, and a community feed with groups. Many features connect you with dog training, kennel and breeding businesses that use Kennelworks.

Handlr itself is free. Businesses set their own prices for the services you book with them.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over and give accurate details.
• Keep your sign-in secure and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for what happens on it.
• You can close your account at any time from your profile. It’s erased after a 30-day grace period, as explained in our privacy policy.

Businesses you use

When you book, pay, sign a form or share a dog with a business, your agreement for that service is with the business, not with us. The business sets its prices, cancellation and deposit terms, and is responsible for the service it gives you. Businesses keep their own records about you; see the privacy policy for what that means.

Card payments to a business are processed by Stripe on the business’s behalf. Refunds and disputes are between you and the business, though we’ll help where we can.

Training grades from a trainer are the trainer’s assessment. Your own self-grades are kept separate and are never shown as a trainer’s grade. Badges are awarded against criteria Kennelworks sets.

Your content

• You own the posts, photos, videos, comments and messages you add.
• You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit that content to provide Handlr, for example to show your posts to the people you’ve chosen. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already shared or replied to it, or we must keep it by law.
• Only post content you have the right to share.
• Your private album holds up to 5 GB and is visible only to you, and to our staff for support and safety as described in the privacy policy.

Community rules

Follow our acceptable use policy. In short: be respectful, don’t post anything illegal, cruel, abusive or explicit, don’t spam, and don’t advertise puppies for sale. You can report posts and people, and block anyone. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break the rules.

Buying dogs

Businesses can list trained dogs. Listings are the business’s responsibility, and any sale is between you and the seller. We don’t inspect dogs or verify listings, so ask questions, see the dog, and check the paperwork before you buy.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Handlr available and working well, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or remove features. We’ll tell you about significant changes to these terms in the app or by email before they take effect.

Liability

Handlr is provided free of charge. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn’t let us limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we’re not liable for losses caused by businesses you use or other users, or for losses that weren’t foreseeable.

Ending

You can stop using Handlr and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
