Book sessions and classes, request a stay, and follow your dog's board and train.
Book a session
Open Book to see the classes and sessions your trainers have opened up. Choose one and book. If it’s full, join the waitlist. Deposits, cancellation terms and where the session is held are shown before you book.
Everything you’ve booked shows on Home under Coming up. My bookings, in the menu under your name, lists every session, class, stay and programme you have with any trainer, upcoming and past.
Classes and events
Trainers can list group classes, seminars and workshops for anyone on Handlr. Find them on Book or on a trainer’s page under Classes and events, and book a place even if you’ve never trained with them. Booking connects you to the business and shares the dog you booked with.
Some seminars and workshops run over several days. The event shows each day with its hours and where it is, and one booking covers them all. You’ll get a reminder the day before each day, and Add to calendar adds every day.
Packages
Some trainers sell packages of sessions. Buy one from their page and pay by card. When you book, you’ll see if it uses one of your credits.
Forms before you book
Your trainer may need a waiver signed or a questionnaire answered before your dog’s first session or stay. Handlr asks for it when you book.
Request a session, consultation or stay
On Book, under Stays and consultations, choose what you need. For a stay, pick your dog, the type of stay (Boarding or Board and train), drop-off and pick-up dates, and Send request. For a consultation, pick what you’re looking for help with, such as puppy training, behaviour or gundog training. Your trainer confirms it, and you’ll see it as Requested until they do.
Before a stay
Your trainer may ask you to fill in your dog’s intake: belongings, feeding, medication, routine and an emergency contact. Do it from the stay’s page before you drop off.
During and after a stay
While your dog stays with the trainer you get daily updates on how the day went, feeding and medication. When your dog comes home you get a go-home report with what they achieved and how to keep it up at home.
Confirmations and reminders
Every booking is confirmed by email, whether you book a place yourself, join a waiting list or your trainer books your dog in. You also get an email when your trainer changes or cancels its place, or answers a request, and a reminder the day before each session and stay. Turn email reminders on or off in Your profile, and turn on Text me reminders with your mobile number there to get texts too, if your trainer sends them. With notifications on, Handlr tells you as well.
