Programmes and skills
Build what you teach, in what order and to what standard, and reuse it for every dog.
A programme is what you teach, in what order, and to what standard. Find them in Training → Programmes.
Skill library
The skill library holds the commands, behaviours and traits you grade dogs on. It’s shared by all your programmes, so “Heel” means the same thing everywhere and grades carry across.
Start from a template
Choose Start from a template for a ready-made programme with sessions, session plans and targets: Puppy foundations, Kennelworks Foundations, Intermediate and Advanced, Reliable recall, Loose-lead walking or Reactive dog. Its skills are added to your library, and you can change everything afterwards. The Kennelworks templates use the core skills, so they lead straight to the badges.
Make a programme
- Choose New programme and give it a name, for example “Puppy foundations”.
- Set the format and the price.
- Add programme sessions in teaching order, each with the skills it works on and the target score for each.
Put a dog on a programme
- Your own dogs: open the programme and choose Add kennel dogs, with an optional date they should be ready by.
- Client dogs: go on a programme when you Take them on after a consultation.
The dog then shows on the programme’s tab in the Board layout on Dogs, in the column for the session it’s on.
From consultation to programme
After a consultation, use Take them on to turn it into the training you recommended.
